Total Rewards: Pay Equity

September 15, 2020

Lori Wisper

Managing Director, Chicago Office Line of Business Leader, Rewards

Pay equity legislation has been in place in the U.S. at the Federal level since the passage of the Equal Pay Act of 1963, but it wasn’t until recently that organizations started to take action to address pay fairness and pay gap issues directly.  Lori will speak about why there is so much focus on this topic now and how organizations are working to address this.  This will include the most recent focus on race and ethnicity in addition to gender pay equity.  Come and hear about the regulatory landscape, the social environment and how this issue is being discussed at the Board and executive level, as well as the specific analytics organization can conduct to understand where pay and talent issues may lie.  Share what your organization is considering as well and ask lots of questions!

Lori Wisper is a Managing Director in Willis Towers Watson’s Talent & Rewards Segment, and Reward Line of Business Leader for the Chicago Office, as well as Rewards Practice Leader for the Midwest. She has over 30 years of experience both in consulting and corporate HR, primarily focused on Global Compensation and total rewards strategy, program design and processes. She has consulted with both global and U.S based clients on broad based compensation and talent management issues including global total rewards strategy and program design, global job leveling and career frameworks, compensation and pay for performance strategy, pay equity and wage and hour regulatory compliance assessments, incentive plan and base salary design, sales effectiveness and sales compensation, performance management and compensation processes and administration. She is also the firm’s thought leader on the topic of pay for performance in which she has also consulted, written and spoken publically.
